Rules & Guidelines for the Analysis Forums
« on: September 15, 2005, 01:08:13 am »
Welcome to the Chrono Compendium's analysis forums. These meeting places are where users can convene to discuss and analyze the various mysteries of the Chrono series, and draw conclusions based on intelligent and thoughtful exchange. Truly, this part of the site is a veritable Zeal, where the most curious and moving topics can be artistically interpreted and debated to increase fans' enjoyment and knowledge. In order to maintain a level of civility and ensure that these proceedings remain lofty and set adrift above the clouds, a few rules and guidelines have been developed.

Also: Bringing up old threads is perfectly fine.

    GUIDELINES FOR DISCUSSION

    [list=1]
  • Try to write in complete sentences with correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.  Be understanding that others may be inexperienced with the English language.
  • Use a clear, concise and descriptive heading when creating a new topic.
  • Include a caption or description when posting images and post very large images as a thumbnailed link.
  • Use the correct format for quotations, images and links.  A guide is located here:  BBCode Guide.

  • Avoid double posting.  Use the edit button to make changes to your messages.
  • Before asking a question, try to determine whether the subject has been discussed already.  Use the search function of the forums.
  • Do not respond to a topic by only referencing the scripts or other threads.  Provide a brief summary or explanation.
  • Try to be thoughtfull and insightfull, especially when posing in the Analysis Forum.  Do not randomly or inconsiderately make small inquiries or retorts after skimming a topic.
  • Although debate of some topics can become heated, try not to take forum discussions personally.
  • Thoroughly research previous discussion topics before challenging well established theories or beliefs.  Conversely, do not dismiss insightfull comments because they challenge firmly held theories.[/list:o][/i]
