Title: Replacing balloon sprites

Sorry if this is a noobish question but how can I replace balloon sprites in a Chrono Trigger ROM with Ex. a sprite of my own, or word test?

Alright, so anyways, I have three sprite ripping/editing utilities that will fit your needs *and* two that come with handy tutorials:
Go to this page (http://www.spriters-resource.com/resources/tut/yychr-snes/).

Go to this page (http://www.spriters-resource.com/resources/tut/snes-tilemolest/).

There is another called TMapEdit (http://www.romhacking.net/utils/506/), but it doesn't come with a tutorial; although it looks fairly straight-forward.

You forgot about the decompress routine VIA TF to actually get the sprites.

Someone really ought to make a tutorial for finding the sprite you want, using TF to decompress, what to use to edit it, how to make sure it's safe to import and how to import it.

I would but i honestly dont know how.

Woot! Thanks for the help peoples  :D I'll touch up on those tuts now and come back for more help where needed.
