The commercial had a countdown from I believe 13 to one (or a count-up from one to 13) VERY quickly, montaging several different scenes of in-game footage. There may have been voice-over during the montage. It then ended with a Japanese voice shouting "KURONO TORIGA!!" with the logo, followed by more Japanese that was subtitled "Cool."

I also found one for Cross: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0NKp5b_Yes
And I found a promo for Chrono trigger from 1995 while looking for the legendary CT2 footage of CT2 before it became Xenogears.
This CT promo seems to have some graphics from the Pre-release like the Zeal doors, Medina has an extra house, the epoch is seen flying around 1999 A.D.: (about 3:45 into the video), pre-release Lavos eruption sprite, the music of the video sounds different than in game music edited/different instruments, etc.

this video is very similar to the one above showing much of the same footagebut with overview by what I can only guess are by the developers.

I found something that seemed similar, not sure if it was this or not. But here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XR-OmCoxnys (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XR-OmCoxnys)
Skip to around 30s or 40s; the first 25 seconds or so are for FFIV

The music in this video... The instruments sound so similar to the ones in Chrono Trigger... Is this the actual music written by Yasunori Mitsuda before it was prepared for SNES?!
The sax(?) (several songs), the music box (Marle's theme), the lead instrument in Schala's theme... They are so similar to the SNES music, but richer.
A couple songs have significant differences, of course. Many of Wind Scene's parts are an octave lower, the brass section plays a different tune during a portion of Courage and Pride, and Battle 1 has several changes in the final Chrono Trigger: new percussion, background strings becoming rhode, etc.......
So interesting!!
