I think that CT and CC would be awesome on DS, I mean Square have already told us that the DS prints money by moving the proper Dragon Quest series to it.

Are there any Chrono fans who live in Australia? I thought maybe there could be a gathering at Play! this year...

I don't think that DotA will have any influence on any descision of Square Enix. I would say have a little protest sort of thing outside of Square Enix America, but not demanding, simply showing how much we love the series... But that would be difficult for Chrono fans outside of the US...

I am all for a Chrono Trigger/Cross sequel, seeing Magus and Schala saga concluded, possibly the complete origins of Lavos explained etc. However the Chrono Trigger/Cross story series is long and complicated and I believe both games would need to be remade in a style similar to Final Fantasy III on the Nintendo DS, and get this game out to PAL regions that missed out, (unfortunately, a condensed plot summary just doesn't cut it for me.)
Though I really, really want the entire "Dream Team" reunited for this, as it would be quite monumental for the gaming community. The Chrono series is the one of the most popular, and defining series in gaming, and and also one of the few that hasn't been abused like Final Fantasy and Mario. If there is going to be a sequel to Chrono Trigger/Cross, I am happy to wait for it... I don't want some crappy, half-arsed rehash that took ten minutes to make! I want to see it done right! The fans deserve justice!

I think a time limit is necassary, but don't make it too short.

One day, we need to raise enough money to purchase the CT franchise... Then we will rule the world!

It's a good idea, but with the 5000 signature prize you should clarify whether it has to be a PS2 game or if it can be a PSX game as well.
Also, get Australia into the countries list, because we may have been neglected wit Chrono Cross but I am not missing out on this!

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Chrono is in his Div final
« on: October 30, 2006, 04:57:35 pm »
Well, he is in the div final up against Auron. So far he has done pretty well up against memorable gaming characters like Bowser. Lets vote him into the finals!

Well, there is still another round of voting until the character battle goes up on the main page for voting, I forget who they have to beat to go through, but they still need to be voted for.

Articles / Lavos - Points of Interest
« on: March 18, 2006, 06:11:11 am »
Forgive me if some of my points regarding Lavos in CC are a little off, as it was never released in Australia.
Lavos came to Earth probably based on pure luck. However the whole thing that it takes ages for him to gain power, I personally feel is wrong. When he crashed into Earth, he triggered the Ice Age, since many creatures died during this and many struggled to survive, it would have been difficult to gather power. Then of course, his energy was drained, making him have to gather more. I would say that roughly, it would only take from 12000 BC to 1999 AD to get to full power.
My view on why Lavos never really detected Chrono and Co. whilst they were slowly getting closer to destroying him, was because he was nothing but a parasite. He only became 'smart' when he merged with Schala in the events of CC.
The main thing that I am trying to empasize is the fact that in CT, Lavos was nothing but a mosquito or flea - doing what needs to be done to survive. It was only until it was in the Darkness Beyond Time with Schala, was it able to observe her, and in a way 'evolve' into a greater being that it merged with Schala, and had a human mind at his disposal.
What do you think about this?
