Ah, well that makes sense then. I wasn't entirely sure what El Nido was, whether it correlated to just one island in the Chrono Cross map, or all of it, and then where that actually existed in Chrono Trigger's world. But thanks for explaining that.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but if supposedly Chrono Cross takes place just 20 years after Chrono Trigger, why is it that the worlds (meaning: continents, nations, landmarks, etc) are entirely different? I'll admit, I haven't fully played through Chrono Cross, so I'm probably missing some correlating elements between both worlds - but on the surface, I see zero continuity.
