premed major.
"Mitochondria control the process known as apoptosis, the programmed death of abnormal cells that is the body's primary defense against cancer"
apoptosis is programmed cellular death. examples of this would be the cells that make up the webbing of the fingers while in the womb. apoptosis if why we dont have paddle, we have hands. cancer is uncontrolled growth of cells. metastasis and los of cellular proliferation is what kills us.
search all you want, the only way youll find anything that will reinforce this is if you look on a sci fi webpage. neurons are extremely excitable and because of this excitability they have a high metabolic rate. this means that they have a very high demand for o2. without it they die. neurons are extremely fragile and do not regenerate once they have been damaged, ask superman if you dont believe me. so theoretically you could bring some one back, but they would be comotose, and thats like pulling the plug and putting it back in. neurons are extremely excitable and because of this excitability they have a high metabolic rate. this means that they have a very high demand for o2. without it they die. death will definitely not be overcome within any of our lifetimes.
the md that wrote this should just run a "pain clinic" out of his house and hand out oxycotins to all the junkies and stop writing this garbage.

General Discussion / Re: Rocky Balboa (spoilers)
« on: January 13, 2007, 11:58:34 pm »
i greew up with boxing and i feel horrible about what has happened to it. there have been so many great athletes that have shown their ability in the ring, but since don king the sport has gone down the toilet. i hate to see ufc or wwf being more popular than boxing. fights are stopped at the first sight of blood, most people cant even remeber a 15 round bought, annd there hasnt been a heavyweight fight for the past 15 years where the outcome wasnt known before it began. the featherweight fights are still ok, but i wanna see some real heavyweight action. the first rocky wasnt a good movie because of its realistic depiction of boxing, it was a great story. a good boxing moovie is cinderella man. rocky one million and five isnt worth watching unless you want to see a bunch of slo-mo sweat and sylvester with no shirt on.

nothing from this movie is feasible. on an average a boxers career is over by 35, no senior citizen could match any heavyweight title holder in the past or in the distant future. the first rocky, stallone played a 30 year old wash out. this was in the 70s. i havent seen the movie yet, but from what i read about it the story is about as convincing as the fast and the furious 2.

General Discussion / Re: The Effect: War in Iraq
« on: November 11, 2006, 05:52:20 pm »
i was in iraq and the majority of the aks we destroyed were chinese. there were also many weapon caches thatt were filled with m-16s. it doesnt matter who supplied the weapons anyway, and the war isnt over oil because we dont get the majority of our oil from the middle east. but dont try to pass any ype of judgment on the war without some kind of knowledge about it first.

V_translanka
i know you said you werent a microsoft fan, that is why i asked why you (v_tranlsanka) were not a fan. in otherwords, why do you choose to not partake in the usage of the microsoft xbox console
now my reasoning behind asking about chrono trigger in 2005 was not to change te subject, but to see what how people would reply. if chrono trigger had come out last year it would prolly look identical to blue dragon which by no mere coincidence is what this thread is about.

what would chrono trigger have looked like if it was released in 2005 instead of 1995?
