You can beat him before the dragons using the Red element strategy too

It's simple
Character 1 uses 6 points of stamina attacking, then uses the last point to cast a red attack element
Character 2 does the same thing
Character 3 ditto
Repeat until Dario is dead. To cut down on risk, just do 6 "1" attacks for good accuracy.

Then forget the Black Plate. It's not at all essential to the strategy he posted, it's just a minor bonus. In that case, you load up Riddel with red elements too and have her use them. Just don't forget to end your turn casting a Red Element and no harm will come to you

Well, the bracket's up. And... hey Marle got in.
It'll be fun to see her get absolutely crushed in the first round, because of who her opponent is

You get the same amount of stars for either path. Saving Kid gives you stars for the dwarves and hydra. Not saving Kid will give you stars for Fargo and Polly. On the save Kid path, Fargo and Polly do not give stars

Nice. My USB PS2 to PC adapter just came today. I get something to test it out with.
And...

I'll never look at Gato the same way again.

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / What did Gaspar mean by this?

By definition the Black Omen is not a sidequest. And they're not hiding it from you because there's no way you can't know about it. They force it in your face in the story.
Woolsey purposely changed the line, probably because he wanted to add a little element to the story himself. Not wise.

It can't even be used in battle.
And V Translaka is pretty much correct. It basically acts as a randomly chosen single target healing item. It can restore 50 HP like a tonic, 200 HP like a mid-tonic, 500 HP like a full tonic, 10 MP like an ether, etc. Even 999
HP and 99 MP like an Elixir
Except that it can also heal 999 HP. There's no item that goes along with that, but if there was, it would be called a HyperTonic!

The "Dream Team" only worked on CT. It was called that because of some big wigs who generally do games for Enix worked on the game. Most of said people didn't even work on CC and aren't considered part of the team that is responsible for the Chrono series.

If you're curious, the team that's responsible for the Chrono series is the team that's working on Final Fantasy XI and its expansion packs and maintenance.
So while FFXI is still active, you won't see a Chrono sequel.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Serj or Ser-gay?
« on: May 20, 2005, 12:01:17 am »
I always had it pegged for Sair-j with a softish J. Seeing as how he DID remind me of a Frenchman, and as far as I know, the only language in which Serge is a real name is French and derivatives of French.
Hence I pronounce it the way you would in French.

The ASX and DJellyBean FAQs as well as Ranma's Boss FAQ lists the Bronze Axe as a rare steal from the DeadHead boss on Fargo's ship.
Maybe someone can test that to confirm. I don't doubt it, but I of course can't speak factually since I can't confirm myself.
