This thread remind me of these two Joel on Software articles:

I really find it funny that the guy thinks he knows everything because he knows Java

You could use the font from the Chrono Trigger French Translation by Terminus Traduction too.

Chrono Trigger DS Analysis / Re: Chrono Trigger DS - Reactions (Spoilers)
« on: December 05, 2008, 05:17:06 pm »
My (first) run of Chrono Trigger DS was my best CT game ever.
The release is great, but I agree with everyone. The Lost Sanctum SUCKS !! I will never do that dungeon again. The many roundtrips in Mount Emerald is just painful.
I have found the Dimensional Vortex interessing, I liked the concept of old dungeons linked in complete randomness. The new ending was good, but I would have like more revelation to link it more to Chrono Cross.

the French version did not use the retranslated English script as a base. I was quite suprised to see a "French Translation" credit when I finished the game, so I put my DS in French (also my mother tongue) to check out.

I didn't do any ASM magic, I used a feature of ChronoTools to get the VWF8 for the techs and items. The source of the VF8 is packaged with Chronotools.

Chrono Cross Modification / Re: Chrono Cross Hacking Tools

I was once a member of this translation group a long long time ago. According to the website, I still have 19 year old haha. I used the nickname Shock at the time. But I wasn't involved in the big RPG translation projects. I tried Final Fantasy 3 (Japanese numeration) but it failed.

Chrono Trigger Modification / Re: Chrono Trigger Retranslation using Chrono Tools
« on: July 14, 2007, 02:35:58 pm »
The checksum will always fail because it is not fixed in the IPS patch. The IPS generated by Chrono Tools was found to only work with ZSNES auto-patching feature and this use the US ROM

Well the latest patch in the first post contains all the script and it's mostly playable.
I'll try to find time during the following weeks to look up at the problem. My guess is that I will rewrite the whole relocation process in Chrono Tools

Chrono Trigger Modification / Re: Chrono Trigger+ Bug Report Thread
« on: June 30, 2007, 11:24:50 am »
My big complain about Chrono Trigger + is the formatting of text. The indentation of text is not consistent and it's really hard to read.
Some dialog box looks like (using example text, not actual text from the demo)
and others use the correct indentation
The 3 space indentation only use one byte, so use it

well, don't you?

I would say, do a block. Send me the diff created using "SVN diff" command. Then we shall see
But I don't see the point of reworking the music for this project.
OT: I have programmed a nice patch/combination on my Korg Karma to play the Magus's theme \m/ This was actually one of my first Combi I've done on this synth

I would say 40 characters but don't abuse the limit
