Chrono Trigger DS Analysis / Re: Lost Sanctum and that Black Nu(spoilers maybe)

I was just saying that if it was a parallel dimension, then their evolution would be similar, but I guess they are a different race and we don't know how they progress. I would think that Dinopolis would be bigger than LS considering the size of Terra Tower, but I suppose that LS could be only part of that dimension.

Everything has to work with it, or it is bust.Time bastard is never stated in the game. Unless the developers stated that it was canon, it is a theory. I'm not saying it's not possible, I'm just saying you can't disprove people's theories with other theories.

Of course, you have to transpose the abilities into some kind of neutral world, but Crono really isn't all that tough. He's mostly fast, and has a couple spells under his belt. And if Crono's fast, I'm sure taking out Cloud would be no problem considering that he carries a huge sword which would have to slow him down quite a bit.

Time bastard is just a theory. It doesn't have to fit in with it.

« on: December 14, 2008, 12:10:37 am »Does going/being sent to the DBT even count as time travel according to Chronoverse temporal physics? This is something that really needs clarification if we're to finally decide between "lol memory wipe" and "lol didn't happen."I always considered dbt to be a where rather than a when, but Serge & Co make it there by time egg, so maybe a little time & dimension travel?

Correct me if I'm wrong (haven't played Chrono Cross in a while), but wasn't the dragonian dimension a parallel to the Chrono one? If LS was the dinopolis dimension, I'd think that the reptites would be evolved into dragonians by 600 A.D.

The champion's badge is the last part of the lost sanctum. The rusty blade isn't really considered part of the quest.

True, but I don't really believe that theory, though I could be wrong. Just curious, do any of the smidges class change into a nu?

Actually, each one of her top tires has 1 summon. Though her physical attributes are greater than her magic ability, so I wouldn't label her as a summoner, also considering the gods are her only offensive magic. And I call it sd3. I just mentioned that for people who are familier w/ the series, but never heard of sd3 since it never saw a U.S. release

« on: December 11, 2008, 09:10:00 pm »Maybe that second person, but the first one definetly classifies as a god level character. You said they summon gods!Yuria summons a god too. Her personal tome, Narga, summons the god of light in fire emblem.
How much closer can you get to a god level besides being a god?
Not only that, but she has the blood of the god Narga in her veins.
Also, I should clarify that SD3 is also known as Secret of Mana 2 to those who have never heard of it.

« on: December 11, 2008, 05:33:57 pm »I don't really count the Arena as canon I don't think...There's really no reference to it at all throughout the game...When & why do you even gain access to it? I forget...And you can get to it before you can even actually travel to it! O_oIt doesn't really matter whether it's canon or not, as it doesn't contribute to the plot at all. The reason it's not mentioned in the game is because nobody would know about it. It's beyond even the end of time so the only person that could even reference it is Gaspar, and he usually doesn't mention specifics.

I'm normally to lazy to replenish mp every so often, so I bring Ayla and Crono to beat up Lavos with physical attacks. As for the third character, I choose either Marle or Robo for their healing magic or if I need someone to use an item.

For me, it's between Lise Rolante from SD3 or Yuria from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War.
Lise can summon gods and her limit break-like attacks are devastating. She seems better to me than Crono on the physical side. Yuria, on the other hand, can summon the embodiment of light. Narga can top luminare any day.

« on: December 10, 2008, 09:27:17 pm »It kind of makes for an interesting case that perhaps the Nu weren't created by the GurusI thought Nus originated before Zeal because of the one in the hunting grounds in 65,000,000,000 B.C.
Then again, it was only one, so it could have stumbled into a time warp. Those Nus and their crazy situations

Fewer playable characters. I'm sure there are some people that'll be mad at me, but yes, I do believe all the useless characters made it to hard to impliment Magus into the game. If not, it certainly didn't help.
