As for Guile = Magus = Guile, I have no problem with that.  Makes it all the more tragic, that such a strong-willed character has lost his memories and personality.  And that such an important character from Trigger became nothing more than a secondary character in Cross.  It changes him from 23 pages of the pinned topic "Is Magus really all that cool?" to nothingness.

Wait... That's actually a topic?  23 pages?!  How can someone debate the intensity of Magus?  His backstory and his hand in the fall of zeal is amazing, not to mention how SE tried their best to link Chrono Trigger to Chrono Cross through Magus most likely stumbling through another dimension.  But what confuses me, is that if they're in a different dimension, then why do Chrono Marle and Lucca show up around the end of the game, even if it's just in a cameo?

Well, Radical Dreamers was made to be a part of the Chrono Series, which was also what Chrono Cross was based off of, mixed in with Chrono Trigger.  Just because the next Chrono game doesn't have Chrono, Cross, Radical, Dreamers, or Trigger in it doesn't mean it's not a continuation/sequal.  *Who knows, they might even have their new game all about Ayla to try and give her a bit more of a meaningful back story...

*COMPLETE AND TOTAL SPECULATION

I've been taking kendo for the past 3 years, and am very good with the katana.  Like the axe, you can never run out of katana...

Scavenger Hunt FTW.  PVP sounds like it would be a lot of fun, but if there's only the same items being used, like if everyone's lvl 70 with Crono, Marle, and Frog, everyone's gonna have the Rainbow, Siren, and Masamune.  It'll get pretty old pretty quick.

It's funny how when Johnny's life is in danger, he becomes so poetic...

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Chrono Trigger Timeline...
« on: February 19, 2008, 10:02:33 am »
If the entire world was saved at the end, regardless of all the 13 different endings (not including variations), wouldn't the timeline just even itself out?

I mean, if Crono merely just thought about going back in time and defeating a giant alien that was sapping away the earth's life, wouldn't that just destroy it in general?  The thought of an intangible being going and destroying the earth would've been completely unheard of.

Y'know what would really suck?

If the entire thing ended up in some kid's mind and he was just playing with Chrono, and the same thing with Serge, just like in Super Smash Bros, or even like the end of the Daft Punk Interstella 5555 movie.  That would be anticlimactic...

Is there a proper retranslation for the Chrono Trigger game that I can use and keep all my old "regular Chrono Trigger" files and play them on the retranslation?

If you want some help with 3d rendering and making characters with anim8or, then ask straafe.  He made an animated Robo figure that's really awesome, and is working on a model of Magus.  I'm sure he can clue you in.  I'm just starting up doing it now, too.

I just downloaded the anim8or program, and am working on the eggplant tutorial as we speak.  Thanks very much for the program, Straafe!  You rock!

About how long have you been programming and doing 3d rendering?

It doesn't seem that it would be any harder than some of the more extravagant CT manips around here (Crisis and Crimson Echoes are both extremely large and well-detailed, with lots of changes).  Anyway, it's more of a curiosity thing than anything; I know I can't do it, I would just like to see one someday.

I've been trying to find a link to download the patch for Chrono Crisis... Can someone give me a link?

Straafe, you have no idea how badly I wish I had your CGI technological knowledge and finesse to create such incredible things...   My friend Mike is really good at CAAD (some type of class at school with 3D modeling & a 3D printer), and I want to learn how to make things on that, but if I were just able to get my friend Mike to make Robo, I would upload the pics and file up here for everyone.  This is incredible!

A little thing I noticed in Glenn's speech through the game that has been shown so far...  It's not really in his character to talk regularly... what happened to all the 'thine's and 'shall' and other fancy lingo?  Just a little tip for the full version....

Sorry if I'm imposing anything....

:? :? :? :?I'm at the part where you go into the Singing Mountain to find Ayla, but whenever I get sent back to her hut, the epoch is all the way over at the singing mountain!  How do I get to the Epoch?  I tried climbing the Dactyl nest, but when I got to the top, the game froze, and likewise with the Mystic Mountain (where Crono first came into 65 mil. BC).    :? :? :? :?

Thanks for the help!
