Site Updates / Re: Multiple vendors offering CT "Formation Arts" figures for pre-order
« on: April 25, 2010, 01:58:11 am »
Cute Formation Arts figs. Would've much rather had Play Arts versions of the individual characters(complete with accessories like the Gate Key, Dreamstone and C. Trigger).

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Re: Zeal is based off of Austrailia?

Zappa always sounded a lot more Scottish than Irish.

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Re: The Future of Chrono (One Possibility)
« on: November 03, 2008, 02:16:03 am »
What trips me up is how people can think the FF series will end so SOON when it's still obviously going strong. It's brought up with every installment. I remember when FFXII was announced, you had all these people saying, "Oh, this must be the FINAL Final Fantasy!". LOL, not the case. If anything, most interviews with the FF developers seems to state otherwise. I believe one had Kitase stating that he'd love to be involved with FF games up until he dies. Others basically said that as long as there are fans out there wanting FF games, Square will make them.

Site Updates / Re: CHRONO TRIGGER DS - CONFIRMED NA RELEASE, NEW DUNGEON, WIRELESS, TOUCH SCREEN
« on: July 02, 2008, 07:27:18 pm »I don't understand why all the scans from w/e Famitsu that is are so shitty...V_VFrom my knowledge, it seems that all people who actually buy Japanese gaming magazines and BREAK such news stories don't actually OWN scanners. Odd enough, they DO own digital cameras. That's just my experience on the matter. I've been to GameFaqs and whatever board I'm roaming around, everytime news breaks and someone comes forth with pics from a magazine(hell, it could even be Nintendo Power), none EVER seem to have scanners. Those who do always say, "Gimme a few days and I'll scan them in better quality!". Really, it takes that long to scan. I scan pictures all the time, and it's so fast to scan a magazine page, resize it, then host it on Photobucket or such. And I mean, REALLY fast. These people go, "Oh, I don't have time!". It shouldn't take any longer than taking the old photo snapshots, uploading THEM onto photobucket and giving out the direct link to it. Seriously.

Lavos, the Planet, and other Entities / Re: Need confirmation about the Dragonian dimension...
« on: April 22, 2008, 01:34:36 am »I always took the Dragonian dimension to be the joke Reptite ending of CT made canon.I actually agree with that. Who's to say some of the multi-dimensions were created by each ending(hence each dimension had Crono defeating Lavos at different points of time, resulting in different outcomes, different alternate dimensions, and so on). I mean, they hinted that Radical Dreamers takes place in a different dimension. My theory is that it's the dimension where Crono isn't saved on Death's Peak. Perhaps THAT lead to something in the future where Chronopolis never existed, hence FATE never terraformed El Nido and everything occured in Gerzbuehl. Despite certain circumstances NOT occuring, some people are obviously born nonetheless. Viper is not born from descendants of Chronopolis...which settled El Nido, but was fated to exist despite this(just like in the Frog marrying Leene ending Marle is fated to exist, despite her ancestor NOT being King Gaurdia XXI, but Frog, or Doan's existance not being related to the horrible conditions of the year 2300 AD). Viper was not born in El Nido, but was born on the Zenan Mainland, and Viper Manor was build in Gerzbuehl. Lynx was fated to exist either way, EVEN if it wasn't FATE(which sounds strange).
Well, whatever counts as canon in this series...
So yeah, but it's just a personal theory of mine. Reptite ending was the begining of the Reptite Dimension. Reptites evolved into Dragonians and created their own "future". I think Reptite Crono and co exist in THAT world too(fated existances), despite not being human, and Marle not being a descendant of Ayla. And regarding the existance of Lavos, a personal theory is that the Reptites/Dragonians discovered their own way of defeating Lavos. Perhaps they used nature and the planet's own powers to pinpoint Lavos and confront it?
Maybe I'm looking too much into this, but the whole "different time, different ending" aspect of CT was brilliant. The thought that different endings could result in different alternate dimensions is something I always thought was fitting of the series.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Re: Harle-origin and accent
« on: April 22, 2008, 01:11:28 am »
I always seen it like this: Harle's being is almost opposite of Kid. Where as Kid has a rather cockney/Australian-esque accent, and she is presented as being tomboyish, Harle has the French accent. French, which is almost known to be the language of love. French accents are sexy. Perhaps it was to show that Harle wasn't like Kid. Her accent is more feminine, more soft, perhaps.
