Hey braydo, can you explain what the battle system is like, or what you have planned for the battle system?

ARRGGGG I am this far(holds fingers one µµ away) from giving up one this generation of gamers. The not every game one the Wii has you flailing about, in fact vary few do. Plus look at games like Soldier of Fortune: Pay Back, Kengo legend of the 9 all those fancy graphics did nothing. A game doesn't need to get carried away with the visuals, some times it harms it more then helps, and normally it does nothing at all.

No, not really.A new chrono game deserves good graphics and deserves to be on a strong console.The wii is a gimmick with ganecube hardware.Not to mention real games sell poorly on wii(except first party, of course).I own all three consoles, the wii is nothing but a disapointment and I havent played a game on it for more than a year....

Anyway, it should be on 360 or ps3.I hold the chrono series is high regard, I want it to be the best it can be.That cannot be acheived on low powered hardware

What with the suprising news of FF13 being multiplat, anythings possible.Im hoping for a brand new chrono game, doesnt matter which console(no handhelds.I want a proper chrono game), except wii, because I think a new chrono deserves high quality graphics and the traditional console experience that only the 360 or ps3 can provide. 

Anyone else hoping for an announcement?

Chrono Trigger: Dawn Of Time ( the ct mmorpg) has a real-time battle system.
Can you explain the battle system a bit? Is movement, attack, defend, magic all player controlled and real time? Would it be possible to implement your battle systemn into regular chrono trigger?

btw I was reading your topic and Im very interested

I was thinking more along the lines of how tales does it(make contact with enemy, changes to a battle screen.Battle system would involve player controlled movement, attacks, defense and magic all in real time ).I dont know about programming, but perhaps this would be easier to implement, rather than how CT does it(no separate battle screen)?

I just wanted to throw an idea out there.Would it be possible to implement a real time battle system through a hack in CT(think secret of mana or seiken densetsu 3 battles; but add a block button)? I think that would be extremely interesting.I totally understand if no one accepts, because I realize how much work it would take, but I just wanted to see if anyone is interested

btw, I know NOTHING about programming, so I wouldnt be able to help

I started a fresh file of CT(us version) with the chrono compendium translation.Im pretty far in(In the factory in the future).However, I heard the JPN version had an extra feature or something.Is this true? Because it would be a pain in the ass to start over(unless a US save state can be used on the JPN version; can it?)
