Chrono Compendium Discussion / avatar size
« on: June 10, 2009, 10:19:36 pm »
took me a while to determine what the avatar size was.  Could you post that on the page where you can set your avatar size.  An error message saying "this isn't an avatar, or it may be too large" is putting my balls in a vice. :picardno

thanks!

Is the "Frog King" used in Crimson Echoes?  That guy's a BAMF

Ah, the old "hide the time ship in a trap door" trick.  I guess Doc Brown did similar thing in 1885.  I read somewhere (I think the Compendium?) that there's a Nu guarding this?  Not seeing on though.  Yeah, part of me wants to play through Chrono Cross again, and part of me doesn't (part of me can't becuase the PS3 locks it up, and don't want to hook up my PS2). It's just kinda a pain going through the 6 dragon gods, but Lynx is a BAMF though.

Ah, I thought Chronopolis was 1999AD.  So the events with Robo/Lucca was an alternate 2305AD, where the Chronopolis on the standard timeline did not exist?

At some point, Chronopolis and Dinopolis "switch places", as stated in CC, eh?

Interesting addition Agent 12.

Gotta say, I really like Neo Epoch! Alas, I never stumbled upon this in Chrono Cross.

Why would the year 1999 have a nuclear missile? No one seems to be at war, and pretty much everyone lives in Chronopolis

And I said to my father, "What is this exquisite material?", and he said... it is Kasmir.

Don't know how Crimson Echoes turns out, but one thing that CT shows, is that it's not exactly clear why Frog became human at the ending sequence in Trigger.  It only happens if you kill Magus back in 12K BC, but then, it doesn't happen instantly.

I'd imagine that if he once had the power to change Glenn's form, he could do it again. But, Lavos sapped a lot of his powers in the battle. I think it would have been cool if Magus had a tech to make an enemy as a weaker form, as you could do in Secret of Mana.  As we've seen int the banter in Echoes thus far, Magus definitely dislikes Glenn again, moreso than at the end of Trigger.  Perhaps Magus' life was "bound" to Lavos somehow, and only changed from after Lavos died.  Just speculation here.

Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / PS3 - Chrono Cross problems
« on: June 07, 2009, 10:22:08 pm »
Last I tried playing this on my PS3, i froze up on a boss battle on Fargo's boat. Has anyone had any luck recently doing this, or know of any means to remedy this (besides of course playing it on a PS1 or PS2). I know there's a topic on this a way's back, but it's been untouched for 2 years.

thanks.

Chronopolis serves as what End of Time did; it's where your inactive party members are, and Belthasar gives you tips on what you need to do next.

They're not going to give out gameplay tips on the alpha.

Sorry, I thought we were free to spoil, but then I forgot about the videos, my bad.  Nevertheless, I'm not asking for a "tip" so much as a way to avoid the game from locking up, bra. :picardno

the game is locking up for me after the battle with [FW puts the "stealth" in stealthrabbi] (had to run from the battle due to being impossible). Lock up after the cut scene. Tried old, new versions of ZSNES and also SNES 9.x  any help?

Post invaded by FW. Sorry bout that, but that would be quite the spoiler.

Chrono Cross is not on the PSN, but FF7 is.  Chrono Cross is not on the Wii Virtual Console, but they made us pay $40 for the DS cart, which apparently .88 mil did (88 miles per hour! woot!).  I can't even play Chrono Cross on my PS3 because the emulation is "messed up" once i get to Fargo's boat.  Man, fuck these people.

Site Updates / Re: Alpha Leakers Banned

why leak the alpha though?  Wouldn't leaking the alpha narrow down who could have done it?  Also, from what I hear, the alpha doesn't show much of "what could have been".
