In the uploader's comments on a torrent site, it said "Chrono Trigger - Crimson Echoes - Courtesy of Dark Serge."

Um.. I have one question though. I mean, the copies of the alpha say "Courtesy of Dark Serge." Was that just put there to make it seem like he was the one who did it, or did he actually leak it as well? o_O

The thing about a ROM hack as opposed to say a full game is that is MUCH harder to round up an remove once its out in the sea of the internet. Although the Compendium can't not deal in this anymore out of risk of legal action that wouldn't end in our favor.
I'm curious about one thing though... What would have happened if CE had been released and THEN Square found out and wanted to sue... .___.; Cause I mean... they could do that, I'm sure.
Well, obviously they'd never be able to remove it from the internet if it got leaked, but I mean... I guess it's actually a good thing that this happened now rather than after it was released because the consequences would have been far greater, otherwise.

« on: April 09, 2009, 07:54:21 am »Disgaea was ported from the PS2 to the DS. I'm not sure what Sony could do to stop such a port; they don't own most of the games that are released on their systems.That was a pretty bad port though. The graphics and sounds were drastically worse.

I looked up the kanji in an online dictionary.
空 - sky, air, empty, vacancy, vanity, space, void
魔 - demon, devil, evil spirit, mystic power
土 - soil, earth, clay, ground, mud
It sounds like it could probably be translated either way.

When I was about 7 years old, my aunt came over to babysit me and brought some SNES games, including CT. I watched her play a bit of it(up until Marle disappears) and I found it to be an extraordinarily interesting game, even though I didn't really know anything about it(I had never played an RPG before). I think I just liked the pretty graphics. XD
Um, anyways, she let me borrow it. I had absolutely no clue what to do, so I just played on my aunt's old file, which was at the point just after you defeat Zombor, and wandered around aimlessly, doing random stuff. I returned the game to her a while after that and almost completely forgot about it, until a few months later when I suddenly remembered it and asked her if I could borrow it again. I finally actually figured out what to do and beat it eventually. After "borrowing" it for quite a few years, she finally let me keep it. ^^;
A few years ago, I randomly found the Compendium. I joined in January because I wanted to start a fanproject, but ended up joining one instead. ^^

Disgaea 2. I played it for about 26 hours straight the other day. .__.;; It's the only thing keeping me from going insane while trying to save up for a PS3 so I can get Disgaea 3.
