Polling / Re: Who do you think should be the 8th character?
« on: March 13, 2008, 12:38:46 am »
I'm a wee bit up in the air...

Slash makes sense resource-wise, but I'm not great fan.
Schala would be a fan-pleaser (moi included) but would make no sense for CC, and would definately change some basic character motivations.
Alfador...um...no.
Glenn - I agree, a spriteswap for Frog.
Kino's a bit...well, no. Ayla FTW.
Atropos would be like Robo-Lite. And I don't like Cool hWhip Lite compared to Cool hWhip regular, so no.

I have to agree with the "Other" vote for Toma! He's one of those 'key' characters that just doesn't get a great enough time in the limelight - and the story wouldn't really have to change, considering the ghost/grave could still be left in for him.

But I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to excise all the graphical resources, find a 3D engine, and do a fangame from scratch. Such things are FAR, far away at this point, but it's always been in the back of my mind.

Well then, all I have to say is... TO FAR AWAY TIMES! *A toast to FaustWolf's genius*

Uh, the joke is that the gloves don't have models, right?

;)

Mhmm. As far as one can expect anywho.

OH! On the by and by - I've had no real breakthroughs with the Guile model myself, and even less with the Scythe model. But I have been having some fun with Guile's texture...he's starting to like rather...Zealian. I'll post something when I have the colors just right.

No no no, the most badass of all - Dual Scythes. Mmmhmmm.

Some noticeable graphical artifacts in Gina's room at left and across top, plus the uneven 'room' border at top right.

Site Updates / Re: KAJAR LABS EFFORT RESULTS IN CHRONO CROSS MODEL VIEWER!
« on: February 27, 2008, 02:40:44 am »
Scuse me, but would it be possible of someone with the means to extract a model possibly do so for me? I haven't my CC discs at hand - they're back home, and I'm a fellow in college now...whose just getting into digital modeling in Blender.

So that said, I'd love to have a look at a model in Blender - specially a CC model. If you could possibly consign me a Guile model I'd be most appreciative.

Crimson Echoes / Crimson Echoes Task Schedule
« on: September 07, 2005, 11:51:59 pm »
I would just like to say, on behalf of my job, that as soon as Jake/Hadriel can come to finishing the overview of the plot, I'd be more than happy to sit down one weekend or two and work on writing a script for the bad boy; similarly, when the big CT:E thread is broken down into manageable bits, I can start with that as well. But until then, again as before in the other thread, I'm not much use to anyone. Do keep in touch though.

Kajar Laboratories / Audition Thread for CT Flash Series
« on: August 19, 2005, 02:50:02 pm »
I realize it don't pay nothin'; I'm used to that. The theater work I do doesn't pay anything either, but I love it none the less. Resumes are just a tool to give an idea of epxerience really; but if you say so, I won't bother submitting it when I send in my auditions.

I'm greatly interested in auditioning for this. Unfortunately, right now my time is very limited; I'm an Actor/Singer/Dancer IRL, and I'm currently wrapping up a production right now of "Into the Woods". I have an extensive resume, if you want to have that along with my audition selections. At the very least, gimme a day or two ^_^. I'll try not to dissapoint!

Crimson Echoes / Beta Testing & Bug Reports
« on: August 15, 2005, 12:19:07 pm »
Alright, I've played through the latest installment of the demo, and here are my bugs/critiques:

First off, AWFULLY slow. It may be my computer, it may just be my ZSNES, but I dunno. The whole thing ran pretty slow for me.

Second off, pretty decent dialogue. I'll have a go over some of the rough points with TE a little later after purusing the posts some more.

There's not much more to it. Some minor little bugs, to be fixed but nothing major.

Crimson Echoes / The Crimson Echoes Dream Team

Hello everyone. I realize I've been thouroughly dead for the last couple 'a months; a word of advice to the working man: NEVER join musical theater! Lol. Anyhow, I'm back, ready and rarein' to work. I'm purusing all the content that I need to catch up on today, so I'll get back to everyone as soon as I've completed that.

Alright, after taking a look at the (very little) text that has been finished, I must say it's decent. Avoid the word 'got' unless it's in a dialect for a character is all I can really think of right now (I just got home from a performance, and I don't really have time to go back and reference the ROM for my changes). Also, be careful of spelling. The lines were decent, but could use for some improvement, if only a little.

Other than that, nice job in re-mapping...be sure to learn to use the layers in the pallet and solidity of your various buildings you've place, as well as passes like the forest-way to the cathedral in 1002 A.D....otherwise, wonderfully done. (Especially Porre!)

Edit: Oh, and I will post some more as I have the chance to actually sit down and work with some of the dialogue (in the next two weeks I'll have lots of time again...). Keep me posted.

The Nu are...hmm...

The Nu are the physical embodiments of the entity, which in argument is the planet. While the entity slumbers, it views itself in its dreams...since the entity knows it is not anything unto itself physically, and cannot be a huge planet represented in the dream, it shapes itself into a Nu. This explains why all things begin and end with Nu, because Nu is the planet.

Therefore, the Nu is the entity 'seeing itself' in its dream.

Idea is good?

Always other engines it can be made on, with albeit with heavy programming to simulate the battle system. RPG Maker XP and RPG Maker 2003 are my personal favorites, but there are others of course.

The Mystics are sentient -- I'd say that elevates them above monsters.  Others might not see it that way, especially humans.

Oh, naturally they are. I'm just giving them an 'evolution' or rather a 'coming of' in a way. After all, the first Mystic-like enemies are the imps in 12,000 B.C.. There aren't any in 65 mil BC at all, so one must imagine their origins.

Quote from: Hadriel
There isn't exactly an "Ancient" in each era -- more like a pawn.

Well of these Ancients, or rather pawns, I'd just like to know how many of these 'creatures/people/things' are there and what do each represent? The various scenarios? I.E., the Porrean Assassin for some time is a 'pawn'?
