Chrono / Gameplay Casual Discussion / Re: Interesting tidbit I noticed in CT
« on: October 27, 2011, 08:21:56 pm »The easiest way to get it is to use Charm more than once, I think.I'd guess a lot of people assume that's a special think for Charm rather than a standard placeholder.

Are there any other techs that can only target enemies "in-range"?
Also, the specific situation was: on the 600AD scene on Zenan bridge, in the fight with the four skeleton enemies (name escapes me), only one was "in-range" for Fire Zone. I selected and confirmed the attack at the same time as that same skeleton attacked Crono (who was wearing a Wrath Band), so Crono's (lethal) counterattack came before the tech and since there was no longer a target, the attack "failed". I'd guess that the animation was probably left in as a fallback for any situation where a tech somehow tried to target an enemy that wasn't there and couldn't choose another, to prevent crashing.

I'm playing Chrono Trigger again and I just saw something I've never seen happen before - I used Fire Zone/Ring of Fire and selected a target (the only one in range), but while I was doing this Crono got attacked by and then countered against that target and killed it. The tech had already been confirmed, but there was no target, so everyone just stood there and shook their heads.
I'm not sure what techs depend on an enemy nearby so I don't know how rare this is to see.

Some friends and I have worked to put together this CD, full of hardcore electronic remixes of CT songs. While it's being released on CDr, it comes with high-quality artwork and of course, high-quality music.
There are a few preview tracks up on the site, more will be up in a couple of days.
If it piques your interest, check it out! At $10 shipped worldwide, it's a bargain

I can make scans of the US version of the promo CD if that's still needed.

Site Updates / Re: CHRONO TRIGGER DS - CONFIRMED NA RELEASE, NEW DUNGEON, WIRELESS, TOUCH SCREE
« on: July 06, 2008, 12:52:54 pm »Well, it's not like any of their other games' sites were full of content upon the games' announcements...As they go along, they gain content...http://www.chronotrigger.jp/movie/WEB.flv
But jesus, it's murder on my 56k...Someone should just like rip the flash for download or something...
So what in the game would involve four players? The only thing I can remember is the race in the fair, but it's been a while since I've played through the game.

The NA one might be waiting for July 7 here, but as there isn't even a countdown on it, I don't really know what to expect or when to expect it.

The only new info I see with my fairly limited Japanese is that multi supports up to four players.
