Site Updates / How not to have SE produce Chrono Break
« on: August 15, 2005, 10:31:09 pm »Quote from: Capo
Here's what I received as a reply when I wrote to Square Enix in LA.
---------------
Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Customer Support,
We appreciate your positive feedback regarding our past titles. We cherish the continued support from our customers and look forward to hearing your remarks regarding our upcoming games. Our parent company, SQUARE ENIX of Japan, has no current plans to create a another installment to that particular title at this time. This is not to say that it will never happen, it's just that their development teams are currently focusing on numerous other projects.
Thanks,
Square Enix Customer Support

As for the Japan address, I got it translated by some guy on japan-zone.com:
Square Enix Co. Ltd.
10F Shinjuku Bunka Quint Building
Yoyogi 3-22-7
Shibuya-ku
Tokyo 151-8544
By the way, here's a picture of the building of Square Enix in Japan for those interested. The same dude that translated it sent me the link.

I got this same exact letter.

I liked Glenn the best. He has duel Einlanzers! Plus he is probably the best innate Green there is (closely followed by Sprigg, but shes up there for different reasons.) Glenn doesn't take any crap either.

History, Locations, and Artifacts / Guardia's Odd Inheritance

What? No. ALL anicent civilazions have had male dominance, regardless of religion.
???
Native American tribes held women in high regard, and were matriarchial. Forgive me, it's late and I dont feel like researching ancient matriarchial tribes, but there were quite a few, maybe even moreso than patriarchial.

History, Locations, and Artifacts / Legend of the Hero Medal
« on: July 06, 2005, 01:26:35 am »
So, Isn't Doreen in the CT heroes medal? To me that is the only logical explination for the masamune upgrade when its equipped. also in CC when Masa, Mune, and Doreen are formed into the mastermune, it gets a huge upgrade as well.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Why Crono?
« on: July 05, 2005, 02:02:05 am »
I'm not sure if you guys have already came up with this answer or not, and one obvious answer is that he is kool. But is there any other evidence in the game why the Entity chose Crono to save the future?

Lavos, the Planet, and other Entities / *When* is the Entity's consciousness?
« on: July 05, 2005, 01:59:53 am »
I kind of like to think of the Entity as an instigator, if you will. Obviously *it* is powerful, but I like to think that it just didn't want to get it's hands dirty in order to save the future, so it kind of set up the events for Crono to do it.

History, Locations, and Artifacts / Re: Guardia's Odd Inheritance

In most families, and in most cultures, male children carry the good name and heritage of the family through generations.
This is due to Christian interference with structure, and Constantine's want to make Jesus devine and make males have more power than females. Before that alot of people were pagan (no, that's not devil worship, most worshiped a goddess, or the sun) and family structures were matriarchial. Christian leaders in the 4th century pushed really hard to supress the power of the goddess by saying they were evil, devil worshipers, etc, along with tossing out the bible books that expressed Jesus as a mortal. But this is all besides the point. There isn't any Christian ties to the Chrono universe that I know of, maybe besides the Cathedrial, (no sign of them practicing a Christian ritual there) so we can assume that family structures were possibley matriarchial, as apposed to patriarchial.

History, Locations, and Artifacts / Legend of the Hero Medal
« on: July 05, 2005, 01:31:17 am »
I always thought that Doreen was in the Heroes Medal, and of course Masa and Mune are in the Masamune. I thought the three comming together made the sword more powerful (increases the crit chance for the Masamune.) I guess there was a hero before Cyrus and Frog who wore the Hero's medal and wielded the Masamune, and that's how it gained its fame. This is just speculation though.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Balthasar in Terra Tower/Viper Manor?
« on: July 05, 2005, 01:26:53 am »
I'm just a tad foggy, so correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Balthasar in Terra Tower and Viper Manor in Chrono Cross? If so, how did he get there? It seems like he'd be tossed into the Dead Sea along with the dead future...

Characters, Plot, and Themes / About Starky
« on: June 19, 2005, 12:01:04 am »
I doubt even if Starky's people were going to blow up the earth because of Lavos, or just because they deemed it worthless, that they actually carried it out, because unless they did it after the year 2400, Chronopolis was still built, and before Crono killed Lavos, the post-Apocolypse 2300 existed. But there wasn't any indication that the earth lives after 2400, but not really any indication that it was distroyed either.

Characters, Plot, and Themes / Did crono die when porre attacked
« on: June 09, 2005, 01:38:06 am »
Well, there isn't really any hard evidence suggesting that Crono died in the events between Chrono Trigger and Cross. My personal opinion is that the ghost children in the Dead Sea weren't really "ghosts," because why would the cast of Trigger be mad at the Cross team for trying to correct the side effects that happened during the Trigger adventures? I believe the ghost children said something on the lines of "We worked so hard, but now you are ruining it." Forgive me, I'm working off of memory here! We have to remember, the Trigger team was imbued with magic. Just because the only magic we witnessed in the game was attack spells, it doesn't mean necessarly that is all they were limited too. As someone else said, notice that Magus could summon Lavos, fly, change the DNA structure of humans, etc. This leads me to believe that maybe, (most of) the Trigger team was just watching Serge and Co, and on Opassa Beach (home) they offered guidance to Serge because maybe they were conducting research and maybe doing some adventuring of their own in the background. Speculation, sure, but at least to me, it makes some sense.
