haha oh yea I forgot he got stopped (I did the commentary awhile ago).
There's not much you can do about that...cept equip the protect status armor....
Zeph - I definitely toned down the boss since then. I also liked him losing but got some feedback to bring it down... Plus it seemed mean that having Crono in your party == 1 less Rainbow Shard....
Though technically Crono's best weapon is somewhere else

Well, people have beaten Lavos solo in Chrono Trigger for sure right? And I actually did tone down his stats.....
I'm not sure why FW got so creamed there...

It'll be hard to beat Fall of Guardia or Atash Kedah, though there is one chapter that might come close yet to come

FW, I say it several times in the commentary but the Magus vs Zeal fight was so amazingly sweet.

The Dispatch Chamber can send you BACK in one year increments. They were waiting for the OP disasters anniversary to send them back.
But getting the return trip to chronopolis would require a gate from which the catcher could yoink them in.

King Zeal is an exceptional case....
it could also be like the stereotypical action movie where the bad guy says you can't save her but the people find some magic way to save her.

Let's play spot the plot hole.....if it's what I think it is then yea it's pretty obvious.
And Chrono'99 (and Vehek) have expressed distaste with the cop-out "solution"

« on: June 13, 2009, 04:10:40 pm »I don't really mind the idea of Belthasar wooing Cakhula especially since in chapter 12 you can sort of win her over if you make the right decisions. If I could go back though i'd have Crono or Marle have a better reaction.
Well even in Chapter 12 in the plot draft Cakulha's stopping of the missile was supposed to be a last-minute remorse of sorts, like "Mmh, maybe I shouldn't sacrifice innocents that have nothing to do with this", rather than "Eh let's ally with these time-travelers that killed my timeline! Woo!!". If I were Belthasar I'd never feel safe with that guy hanging around in Chronopolis (also it's a guy, Yaluk is the female).
Yea....Well regardless I still feel like the "Masamune there" timeline is different enough where chapter 12 would have been significantly different. So Belthasar had to do handle the Xamoltan himself. We still showed that he could be.....um talked to and if Agent 12/Belthasar told him about the "Time Fortress/Chronopolis" I dont think he would have turned it down. I guess maybe we could have built some sort of futuristic prison (like your awesome Magus Prison) in Chronopolis and kept him in there.

Porre studied him and his ability to use elements.
As for reactions:
Well......after the fight a self destruct sequence was activated so they didn't have that much time. I don't really regret the parties reaction to Coyopa that much...especially since technically the party that you had could have consisted of only people that had never met him (Lucca/Robo/Marle). I do regret and would even consider it a 2% bug that Calkhula does not have a reaction to his comrades demise. I think I mention this in the commentary.

So what did that message on top of the Porre lab mean after all? *puzzled*
Heaven lies under the pyramid
Was Coyopa a she in the game or on the forums? I think I accidentally referred to him as a she. The Azala sprite throws me off sometimes.
Toma is a big adventurer and people take his stories with a grain of salt anyways. Atleast that's how I always imagined him. He'd get drunk in a bar and talk about ridiculous adventures and all the patrons would just smile and nod...Meh maybe it's just me.....plus it was mainly just for fun. In CT King Guardia/Kino and Doan all time travel....
