Lavos, the Planet, and other Entities / The "Entity" or the "Planet" which one?

I always just assumed that the Entity was the Planet. In the campfire conversation they talk about the flashbacks before a person dies, and Lucca or Marle mentions that the flashback memories would probably be the painful ones. I mean, look at the time periods in CT. 65mil BC, Lavos lands. 12'000, the Mammon machine allows Lavos to pretty much reshape the planet (? I think so, anyway). In 600 there's the war between Guardia & the Mystics, and Magus is trying to summon Lavos. 1000 is when the whirlpool started appearing (Well.. I'd assume so. I doubt there's any evidence), 1999 is Lavos day & finally 2300 could be the point at which the planet really just croaks it after 300 years of Lavos leeching it. These would all be pretty painful memories for the Planet, so there would be specific Time Gates there. I think it's just pure coincidence that led Crono & Marle into 600, which set in motion their discovery of Lavos and so on.
