i do the exact same as mystik does. the other two characters are insanely easy, so i take them out first, but serge is a little more difficult.

No, i'm just saying that if they were shot in the face, they'd die.

i hope you realize, there are a number of people that have been shot in the face and survived .. therefore, if this were the case for crono and whomever else, there IS a slim chance they could've withstanded it--and, afterward, possibly faked death? but, my point is: a shot to the face isn't 100% reliable. heck, search on google for "shot in the face and survived", and you'll find quite a few stories.

i, too, died when facing yakra the first time i ever played the game .. but that was really only because i wasn't properly prepared for anything, and the concept of healing my members had been pushed to the side in my mind for some reason.

oh, and when you had to play that stupid roulette game with fargo for the first time before you could see the sage? i thought you WERE supposed to win at that point, so i spent 3 hours of my life trying to beat him--i finally checked gamefaqs for any "hints", but instead found that you ARE required to lose, and do something else, before moving on in the game. i felt like a complete dolt. :-[
