The examples you give don't necessarilly have to be the same spell or the same kind of disguise as those monsters which mimick people Crono & Co. know.

Obviuosly, the monsters in the cathedral were used as a sort of stealth and uh...wats that word again?...ah! infiltrating Guardian and Porrean areas and gain access to important war information. The monsters in the castle are just illusions made by the mind (as said before). Two completely different things.

I know its a monster Zaper!  :lol:  What did it look like though, what kind of qualities did it have to make it a 'magician' or whatever it is ur implying?

Oh that! Come to think of it, that is quite a good idea! Once Crono and co. destroy it, do the illusions stop? I cant remember, if so, this could be a good one Zaper!

Once the illusions finish talking, they turn into the juggler and friends, so it must be them causing it.
