Hindu Pez remix of "phantom ship" from CC
« on: September 09, 2005, 07:56:22 pm »
You know you want to download it and listen to it.

This is a very, very different kind of mix for me. I usually make hard, noise edged digital hardcore tracks...so to make something more electroclash-esque is a huge, huge jump for me.

I look forward to any comments.

It's pretty good...I found that the everpresent thumping (I just can't think of the term right now. Drum machine? Gah.) didn't contrast too well with the overall theme of the piece, but it was still decent.

Heh. It's the basis on how I work...drum machines and all.
I'm doing a whole slew of these CC remixes...and so far they all sound vastly different.

In approaching this particular track, the original score struck me as something out of a Tim Burton film, so I looked at it from the angle of "this should be turned into a cheesy club track".
