In universe of Radical Dreamers, Lynx is stronger than Magus.
Though the same can not be said about the universe of Chrono Cross.

I wouldn't say stronger.  As Lensmen said earlyer, their first fight they fought to a stalemate, and the second fight, Lynx was better prepared and disabled him.

However, RD pales in comparision to CT and CC, and in the CT-CC universe, Magus would murder him without any problem.

What he said was wrong.
Lynx and Magil (Magus) never fought to a stalemate.

When Kid was a little girl (4-5 years before the events of 'Radical Dreamers'), she tried to avenge Lucca's death.
She decided to sneak into the mansion by herself but she was outnumbered and overpowered and she was eventually defeated and captured.

Magil managed to rescure her by slipping in and out of Viper Manor without being noticed at all (after all, he is Magil of the Shadows...).

Magil/Magus didn't even try to face Lynx, most probably because he knew that Lynx can overpower him.

Lynx only HEARD about the 'shadow walker' who managed to slip in and out of his mansion without being caught.

So when Lynx finally meets Magil in battle, he immidetly pin him down with his magic which obviously overpowers Magil who falls on the floor completly disabled.

Like I said before, in universe of Radical Dreamers, Lynx is stronger than Magus.

I don't agree with this statement, but I guess it's just a matter of taste.

Lets see.

Lynx: Forever Zero, some other techs, scythe, and elements.
Magus:His spells, and a scythe.

I would say Magus. Because his spells can do over a thousand damage and he could use items. Lynx on the other hand would have to rely on elements to keep him alive. But elements can only be used once, which limits his full power.

Yeah, Lynx can't use items. He also suffer load times whereas Magus can begin the battle immediately. Lynx has more buttons on his PSX paddle though. It all depends whether they use their Game Shark or not.

Solo Magus gives him the i think 300% attack boost, i tried it with the colliseum, ~450 vs freelancer in party,  ~1350 alone.
