Which Myth?

If you could choose a traditional theistic mythology to be real, which would it be.

This is not a debate about the existence of any particular dieties or your personal beliefs.

For example, I would have to choose Norse Mythology for a variety of reasons: a relaxed concept of morality, a bunch of kick-ass gods, and the chance to the see the universe end in a blaze of glory.

Edit:  Modern religious beliefs also count as mythologies.

Pandora's Box. Because it's soo true... The evils are out in our world -.-;

That or some Greek or Mesapotamian myth. I love their Gods. We need more Towers of Bable :D

The Egyptian religion. It would be cool to be actually see a god in person. And because of that I would feel like I'm accomplishing something to someone who is there in person, something that you can feel when you are worshipping an invisible God. The Egyptian gods also had equality between them. Unlike the Romans and Greeks, the Egyptians gods and goddesses seem to have equal importance. And of course, Egypts after death situation seems to be more friendly then the Greeks.

Mesopotamians myths are very dismal, actually. The reason of life is to toil and slave away for the gods, and then in the afterlife it's more of the same, minus the earthly pleasures of life.

Considering that, I'd have to fall in with BZ on the myths of the Old Kingdom period of the Egyptians.

Norse and Greek in the Ocident, Japanese, Chinese and Indian in the Orient :) Egyptian mythology is great too, but it feels a bit to "earthly" to me...

Oh, and take account that I know relatively few about myth's  :roll:

Like Zaperking I also think pandora's box is real. I also believe in other myths. I can't think of them right this second, I hope I will remember soon. :D
