CT Shop Editor Release
« on: December 29, 2005, 02:40:04 pm »

This is a new editor that allows you to edit the shops of Chrono Trigger in-game.  It moves the data to the ExHiROM so that you can have a lot more options in how how you want your shops designed.

LOL, well anyway, here is an updated version that hasn't been posted at ROM-Hacking.net yet:

http://www.geocities.com/beneficii/ctshop.zip

In it, the File->Exit menu function now works.  I also fixed an oh-so-slight logic error that occurs when you clear the list (the item count should have been reduced to 1, not 0, to include the terminating null item).

I checked out the Shop Editor available for download on this website, and no offense to its author, but it's a POS.  When I load the items for sale at Melchior's Millennial Fair at the beginning of the game on an unmodified ROM, it said an Iron First and some other ridiculous item was for sale there. And there were some shops that couldn't be found?

Anyway, I think my Shop Editor can replace that one, sending the latter into the obsolescence it deserves on the Other Utilities page.

Glad you enjoyed it!  :D

Yeah, I completely forgot to announce it yesterday since I'm juggling a bunch of stuff around. It'll be announced today.
