CT Sound FX, Chrono Stream & New Fan Project
« on: December 30, 2005, 04:26:25 pm »
Update: Chrono Symphonic delayed until 2006. This is the last time I'll ever announce anything concerning its release so that I do not confuse readers.

Three bits of news today. Firstly, Dirtie has released a compilation of Chrono Trigger's sound effects in .wav format. This allows multimedia editors to easily insert Chrono Trigger's sounds into their work. Additionally, the .spc pack has been updated with two new sound effects located amidst many unused slots; these appear in the .wav archive as well. You can download both new archives here. Secondly, the fan project known as Chrono Stream has released its first demo. Chrono Stream is a new adventure being done in RPGMaker; you'll need the engine to play it. The journey starts with Crono, but will introduce new characters as it progresses. Below, you can download the demo or view screenshots:

Lastly, xcomgs is looking to get his fan project, Legends~Twilight Requiem, up and running. He needs plot developers and new ideas; no rom hacking experience is required. If you'd like to grab an easy position on an up and coming fan project, and have some ideas about new Chrono adventures you'd love to see realized, go to this thread and let him know. Good luck!

Apparently, it has been delayed because the distro script won't be finished in time. CS won't be released before 2006, except if some miraculous and talentuous webprogramer happens to come and code the stuff.
