My best guess at the bandwidth available to the Compendium is "finite" in the most confounding sense. Nevertheless, I would like to propose that, bandwidth permitting, we should make available ROM save states of all Chrono Trigger endings (and other key in-game points) here on the site and, bandwidth permitting, Chrono Cross ROM endings as well. Over time, if the Compendium succeeds we would expand the files we host online to include other popular and useful offerings, but the CT (and CC) endings and key plot junctures would be a fine start.

I actually have tons of personal webspace and bandwidth available on my server and nothing to do with it. If this idea becomes reality, I would gladly offer some space as a host or mirror of these files.

Excuse my absence. I suppose the first order of business would be the organization of these endings. Unfortunately, my Chrono Cross endings and savestates are as good as dead on a destroyed hard drive. I'll consult Ramsus to see if this is feasible. I don't think it would be that much of a problem, legally or bandwithwise. (Yes, I made up a word!)

Taking a tip from Zophar's Domain, which also provides exhaustive savestate files, I would imagine that hosting the savestates themselves is quite on the level. Chrono Cross savestates are somewhat large, though, with each save comparable in size to the entire Chrono Trigger ROM.

Sorry to hear about the hard drive; I had a failure two years ago and lost a lot of good stuff. Now my new hard drive is as old as the first one when it died. It has also grown a little whine, and I've been making backups of critical information; always a good idea.

I have spoken to Ramsus, and I believe the savestates will be very acceptable in relation to size and bandwith consumption. I'll collect them.
