Sixteen days ago, I grew tired of thinking about the Chrono Cross encyclopedia. It had been a light burden since the site began, and after the Radical Dreamers encyclopedia was completed, it was the only puzzle piece left to finish the basic foundation of the site. I set to work, hoping to complete it before January ended. And here, on the night of January 31st, my work is complete.
The Chrono Compendium Encyclopedia is now a solid and whole tome. It contains expansive information about every topic in the series, including a new Miscellany section with notes on food and other aspects of the world. Each Chrono Cross character and location entry has been doublechecked against the script for factual accuracy and fullness. Rhyxx has consented to allow his Chrono Cross walkthrough, the best in its game, to be hosted in our guides section, while the other areas, replete with Chrono knowledge, overflow to readers' eyes. And to crown the achievement, every Character in the game has been scanned and uploaded, along with all their in-game models, Element Grid learning, and Stat ladders. Even as I speak, SilentMartyr is continuing unabashed in his quest to scan Missing Piece, offering us further glimpse into Cross's creation through sketches. Thanks to benefactors, guides, and hard work, even the most remote of subjects have been entered and documented. The full breadth of the Chrono series awaits your perusing eyes. What began in 2003 has been finished.
This marks the coming of a new age for the site. As we are receiving 25 new members to the forums each week, undertaking our own retranslation, continuing to make headway into analysis for the future articles section, and relentlessly seeking our creative fan artists to showcase and learn more of their work, the Chrono Compendium can finally make its mark on the Chrono series. In the words of Bruce Lee, modified: If I told you this site was the best, I just might be boasting. But if I told you this site wasn't any good, you know I'm lying. Treat yourself to our storehouses of information and relish the universe of Chrono.
All right! Bust out the song "The Dream that Time Dreams" and get happy! The encyclopedia was made for fans!
To commemorate the event, Chains of Fate is releasing five new Chrono Crisis screenshots. The project has found new talent and is heating up.
