Spam.

Anyway, I'm a Jew... and while it's not an ethnicity, you're considered a Jew if your mother is Jewish by religion and\or blood.

Ethnicity-wise I'm from Muldova (Formerly part of the Soviet Union), and was raised since the age of 1 in Israel.

True. I've spent a good hour in my best friends basement getting whooped in SSBM while debating what he considers himself under modern day classifications of a "Jew". He's half n' half... well, 3/4ths... kinda... Christian and Jewish. From what I can tell the christian perspective (laid back, not really technical) if that if your mother is Jewish and your father is Christian then you're half n' half, but in the Jewish side if your mother is Jewish then no matter what you're 100% grade A Jew   So... yeah, I'd say 3/4ths. Random addition to this random post!

P.S. I never put any thought into it, but I just realized 60% of my close friends are jewish... huh! On with the show.

One of these days I'm going to get guest-slapped for forgetting to log in again.

Heh, having a Jew mother and Chrtistian\Muselum father is like a total headache. Muselums and Christians are decided by the father, yet Jews are decided by the mother. Meaning, unless your in the US or whatever, you'll be in trouble. An un-Mueslum in an Arabic country gets shot, and an un-Jew in Israel will not be accept as a Jew by the Orthodox side of the goverment (Believe me, even ISRAELIS hate Orthodox Jews. Well, most of them. We're a divided people, which is why we have no seperation between state and religion. Or a constituition).

I pity you. Secularisationof church and state is one of the main things needed for democracy to really work. otherwise you get all this religious rhetoric.
We have seen the US being de-seculated(is that even a word?..) and the US is the worse for it. With the constant cries of
'They are the axis of evil and they have terrorists! the are a godless people and we have god on our side! we must kill them and liberate the people in the name of god.', the goverment gained the peoples' support. And now look at America: it is the biggest debtor nation, and it is hated by alot of people.

By religion, judgement can be clouded, and the peoples support can be directed towards the agendas of a very few people.

..You really think I don't know anything of what you've just said?

They're weird, yes, but they're still my people. So I'll put up with them if they'll stop being extreme. Orthodox Jews are EXTREME.

What the fuck! They don't get shot. They have to pay tax, but thats only because they don't have to pay Zakat (obligatory charity (possible oxymoron)) and the Muslim government ain't gonna use Muslims money to buy churches.

Look, I don't know much about all the fighting and hatred out there.
I'm more of a boxed in Jew.
I don't try to worry with the middle east and everything that is happening, becuase I can't do anything to help.
Or can I?
Are there any Jewish support groups or websites that ayone knows about?
