First impressions of the site

Ummm...
I thought 'these guys are insane and overzealous, devoting this much to a mere game.' I proceeded to question the rationale and sanity of so (as I called it) over-analysing these things. There was a vehement discussion on the topic - this was in December 2003 when the site was first made - and I left. I didn't post again until, when was it... beginning of last year or something like that? I was still on good terms with ZeaLitY, and came back with a somewhat revised viewpoint on the whole Compendium concept, so it went far better from then on. And, hey, I had enough of my own theories to render what I'd said before a tad hypocritical.

I was introduced to it by BZ. I enjoyed the site because of it's clean layout, intelligent conversation, great articles, and most of all, nice people.

I still enjoy it, and always will, just like Mystik

Like my previous stray into an obscene little forum titled something like "Chrono Trigger" or "Chrono Series" back on the ancient and long passed PlayOnline boards, I found out about the Compendium on one of the GameFAQs Chrono boards and, like that previous venture, I wanted out of GameFAQs...bad. I always will, really, no matter how often I go back...

I was around for (i believe) the first couple incarnations of the Compendium (minus the thread over at OCR) and checked it daily when it was down for redesigns, server changes or whatever happened back then (i don't recall)...and also during those times I would stray back into the GameFAQs boards, where it was nice to see other people from the Compendium.

So, the Compendium may be my happy little secret for now, but apparently, GameFAQs is my dirty little whore...
