Tetris Rocks Yer Blocks

The year is 1989. The place is Toys ‘Я’ Us. The School is Old. And the silence is palpable with the sweat of a million hearts beating in anxious unison, for now humanity’s greatest video game ever has made its way to the Game Boy, featuring the greatest version of the greatest electronic soundtrack ever composed. And that game…

:shock: ~~ TETЯIS ~~  :lee:

High above the majestic minarets of the foreboding Soviet Union, the evil L-Shaped Block, L-Zor, has escaped ten thousand centuries of imprisonment by the Mighty Wizard Коробе́йники. Seeking revenge, L-Zor wants to conquer the universe. Only the Tetrad Legions under your iron command stand in its way. And now, my friend, the challenge is yours…

Poor L Block. Never quite fit in. Ha! Fit in! As witty and extremely hilarious as that was, it is true that forever the L Block was discriminated in a way so surely similar to the way the Blacks were treated in America, or the way Oasis fans are treated in a Blur party. Even Lord J esq jumped into the "making fun of":
TETЯIS

Square: Oh shit! The L-Shaped Block is descending upon our fair city!
Line: Lezz scramble!!

♪♫♫     ♫♪     ♪♫♫♪♪♪♫ ♪♫♫     ♪...
For shame...

And only the Super Mario Bros. theme song nothing can beat the Opening Theme Song, not even the brilliant No Music.

Would that make me the only person to have found L-Cthuulu useful?

Yes. Yes it does.

And of course, the Mighty Wizard Коробе́йники song is pretty good too:
        * "Oy, the crate is full, full,
        * With chintz and brocade,
        * Come on now my sweetie pie,
        * You with the fetching shoulders!

        * Go out, out into the tall rye!
        * There till nighttime I'll wait,
        * I'll catch sight of my black-eyed beauty,
        * And all my goods I'll divvy-out.

        * I myself paid no small prices,
        * So don't skimp or bargan:
        * Bring here your crimson lips,
        * Sit nearer to your beloved!"

        * Hazy night has already fallen,
        * A dashing youth -- he awaits...
        * Listen, it's her! -- she comes as promised
        * To peddle her wares.

        * Katia tenderly barters her goods,
        * Afraid to give it all away.
        * The youth kisses the maiden,
        * Proposing to raise the price.

        * Only the deep night knows
        * How they came to terms,
        * Straighten up now, tall rye,
        * And keep their sacred secret!

Ooh, Коробе́йники means Peddler...

And actually, the best Tetris song is Happy Hardcore's Tetris Remix. I mean, who doesn't love people randomly saying "Lets play Tetris motherfucker."

If I used music (hey, man! music drains the batteries quicker!), I used C.

But the Metroid 2: Return of Samus opening theme still beats out all the other Gameboy game themes in my book. I turned that sucker on sometimes just to listen to that. 8)

Turns out the music in Tetris is Russian folk/battle music. The things you learn dicking about in band class.
