I dug this up, we'll need to implement it soon, but I'm not fluent at hex editing.  It'll allow us to use the Epoch.  

There's 3 era's that we cannot use, E.O.T. , 1999, 2300.  At first i was worried  cause JLukas only was able to help us nullify one of them.  But because 1999 and 2300 both go to locations I can edit the events to just teleport them to some other location.  We can then use the method below to keep them out of 2300.

We can have E.O.T. send them to Chronopolis and 1999 send them to....we'll think of that later.

From JLukas:


In a hex editor go to offset $026C25. Replace the AD 00 with A9 F2.

This tricks the game into always thinking you just came from the 2300 AD map, causing the time needle to skip over that era.

1999 could be edited to send them to 3B B.C. for the final part of the plot...you did read that, right?

they get the epoch before the "boost" that enables them to go there though.  hmmm maybe it can be there but when they try it before that time it gives them an error saying "not enough energy" but once they reach that part int he plot I can disable it.

I patched it, it looks successful.  It's even better than i thought cause when you said "it'll think you just came from 2300" I thought that it meant it would start on 2300 but once you moved off of it it would skip that era, and if you didn't move and just pressed A it would "beep".
