What's King Zeal up to?

King Zeal has a limited amount of puppets he can create, based off the old Golems. He animates them with magic, and they can perform basic functions. The true way to reveal their identity is to ask them information only a resident of the period would know.

1002 A.D.

King Zeal became curious over the time travelers he witnessed in time, and came to April 14th to stir up trouble for them for his amusement.

ACTIONS

• Assassinated Mitch, the Medina leader, through a Vanguard Zealing to ally Medina with Porre
• Magically restored the Dragon Tank and held audience with Montcrief as a Porre advisor to persuade war

The Porre cyborg is initially blamed for this and other aberrances in time. He is eventually cleared by circumstance and when Lucca examines his internal chronometer.

11998:

His need to see anyone from his family sends him to the ocean palace ruins where he talks to Schala.  However, Schala's refusal to join him in his quest for revenge and his rising insanity drives him to cast some spell on her.

Chronopolis:

Belthasar decides to save his former friend from illness and brings him to chronpolis.  Advanced medicine easily heals the King, however after hearing about Crono and co. destruction of his kingdom and his wife and learning that Belthasar is friends with him he goes crazy.  Steals the frozen flame which allows him to travel through time and wreak havoc.

That is so hackneyed I can't believe we're even considering it. Have you got anything better?

hm.......point made.  I'm not exactly an expert on the Frozen Flame but can it draw on your dark desires and sort of make them more prominent?  This could be what causes Zeal to go crazy, though he would have to have initially stolen the flame for some reason in the first place for this to be the case.
