Nominations Open on Gamefaqs Character Battle

Update:

It looks as our efforts have paid off- Crono has received his first ever 1-seed.

Only the 1 and 8 seeds have been announced thus far, but the full bracket will be up soon, and Crono's 1 seed makes me optimistic on other Chrono characters' chances.  Looking at Crono's possible opponents for round 1, Crono would of course crush all of them, but I can see 90% on Tingle, who is hated by his own fanbase.

Hard to believe Nidoran F actually made it. And Tingle? Good gracious. With a 1 seed, this will be interesting to watch unfold. As usual, I bet it shall come down to Crono versus Mario. But this time, the Compendium will at least be involved.

Well, the bracket's up.  And... hey Marle got in.

It'll be fun to see her get absolutely crushed in the first round, because of who her opponent is

Why doesn't gamefaqs put out a rule of a "no character from last year" to be entered.

Get rid of Mario, Cloud, Sephiroth, Samus . . . they are always used in these silly character battles.

They may be popular and I have nothing against them, but there are far too many repeats from years past.

Also, Crono and Marle DID make it which I think is just awesome. We the Compendium have intervened. Great job to everyone who voted for their respectful characters from the series. It's an honor to see, finally, one of the greatest RPGs and game of all time to be recognized in this online event.

I for one am proud of what we have accomplished. It wasn't just the Compendium though, we may have played a major role, but there are still some fans out there who respect the game like we do, that haven't found us yet, who also played a major role in determining the candidates of this character battle.

Now that is awesome.

Well it looks like FF fans are getting what they want. I hated Aeris and I never used her at all. Since it's a FF7 character, brainless fans are bound to select her over a more important role Marle had to endure in her adventure.
