I just read this over at FFI and the sentence, "From here on in, Square will be focusing on remaking re-releasing old games and franchises, as well as creating new sequels to these games!" Just jumped out at me...

In any case, this is some nice news. There's no telling what might come out of this though...a few other franchises lurk in the background, not just Chrono.

Is Square Enix revamping its business model to focus on remakes and ports of old games? No. But blogs from Joystiq to Destructoid are reporting this story today, despite the fact that it is one hundred percent false. Some stories are just too good to fact-check.

It's false. Everybody knows Square Enix has sold all their non-FF series to Microsoft and Disney. Microsoft's Chrono Glance is due in 2008, Mushroom Kingdom Hearts in 2009, etc.

Yeah, I thought it was funny because after I read the article at FFI I read over at Square Insider that Square was going to be focusing on XII for quite a while...Whatever...I'll keep hope alive anyhow!
