I was going to have kid on it (and I'm stilling thinking of doing that version, but I liked it by itself, so I just tried different variants and there you go

If you haven't already tried to do so, try using guash paint. Much nicer than regular old water color. Those are some pretty good shading effects you have especially on the lower right side of the island.

in the original he rocks are too blurry and large they also lack roughness, not enough really dark spots in the shadows.
the clouds, for the love of god the clouds its like finger painting.

take the original version and the water colour version take the water colour version and place it as the top layer and put it on some blending option, maybe soft light, overlay or hue.
that may make the rocks and clouds more bearable.

the rocks and clouds need more work. the lightings ok although a bit too light in some spots, unless zeal is floating on polished rock it shouldn't reflect that much.

personally it would have looked cooler at sunset/sunrise or dusk

I really like the watercolor version. It'd be cool to expand it (width) and add more islands, maybe the island with the castle, and stuff. Maybe some of the waterfalls... *daydreams*

you should put kid on it, that way her size compared to the islands give the picture depth and value in the flow of the picture.
