Events

I also posted this in the forum for my project. I am in dire need of one of the following either:

A. Someone who can code the events for my project

OR

B. Someone who can teach me how to code events for my project.

I would actually prefer the first one, as it is no longer summer, and I lack the time to sit down and learn a whole language. However, if need be I will do so. Obviously, the project cannot progress without someone to code events, so that is why I'm asking for YOUR help. if anyone knows how to code events, please PM me or post in this thread. One way or another, I need help.

Don't want to steal the topic but I need B. (I feel bad >_<)  Maybe if someone offers to teach, he, she or they can teach us at the same time?

Just find an instance of what you want to accomplish in Chrono Trigger, and check out the event code. I think I made a tutorial in the Modification section for a small scene with NPCs.

Alright, I'll try it out. But I the problemis, I also want to use complex thigs such as fading in and out, (For memories) Music changing, and lighting effects for some of the early events.

Yeah...well, event coders aren't the most populated kind around...well, there should be another link on the Modifications page (maybe under tutorial) that has Temporal Flux "Tricks" or something like that. I think it covers lighting.

Take a look at Step 4 in my changing music tutorial, it's made so that anyone can understand it. It will show you how how to change music during any point in the events.
http://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Editing_music_in_locations.html

It will be the part right after the Lavos Spawn battle where you it shows the command to change the music. In this case it's after battle, you can place that command anywhere to get the music to change over.

I have 2 new tutorials in the making:
How to set up monster events in complex ways
How to code dialog cutscenes/action cutscenes

...when I finish them I will upload 'em. May take me a little time, trying to get caught up on other work - such as CT+
