Evaluate Leena based on her character design, combat usefulness, and Tilt factor -- which can mean anything, from how much she strikes you as cool to how important she is to the plot.

Character Design - She's a GINGER!!! lol...Anyways, kind of a simplistic design, yet there's some obvious flare to it as well. I'm diggin the weird thing in her hair. Socks with sandals though? Maybe in Another World you can get away with that...>_>

Combat Usefulness - She uses KITCHEN UTENSILS!!! There aren't enough words to express how lame that is...besides maybe frying pans and butcher knives, kitchen utensils aren't weapons. Her first Tech is a stupid slap move, which is made even worse since it's one of TWO slap Techs in the game (the other going to the feminine Pierre). BUT! Her one saving grace is MaidenHeart, which is one of the only Techs that lets you recharge your Elements, which, if you're a complete dolt, is pretty damn useful.

Tilt Factor - She gets near no development. Home World Leena actually gets more development than the one that actually joins you...And, well, she's an absolute bitch to Serge...and for some reason, of which the fact that they're of relatively the same age must be the main, he puts up with it. "Go kill some baby lizards and make me a necklace so I can continue to be the cock-tease that I most assuredly am!" she says, which actually kind of makes for a cool quote...but that's no excuse for this inexcusable character.

Final Grade - D

Character Design: She's a nice, country girl who has absolutely lovely red hair. Beautiful, really. Simply beautiful.

Combat Usefulness: MaidenHeart is an absolutely fantastic tech. Unfortunately, she's not too useful besides that...though she does come in handy when heading up to Termina. (Which I almost called Truce here. Heh. Besides that...like most, she ends up feeling wasted.

Tilt: Leena did not deserve to be a PC. She's a nice girl--and Home World Leena is too demanding--but she didn't need to be a PC, especially since her alternate self got all of the actual character development.

Still, she's important in a few ways, and I like her as a character...she just felt wasted the way she was, that's all.

Final Grade: C.

Character Design - She's very pretty, but her design is rather simple.

Combat Usefulness - Um.  Not very useful.  I didn't really dig the spatulas for weapons.  If you're starting on a brand new game in CC, she's useful on Mt. Pyre cause she's a blue innate.  That's about it, really...

Tilt Factor - Don't like her, I usually never recruit her.  Another's Leena seems to be rather sweet, but Home Leena is annoying, bitchy, and whiny to boot.

Final Grade - D

Design: Simple girl next door look. Which is what she was to Serge, so there you go.

Combat: Never found a use for her. Don't think I even had her in the party first run through.

Tilt: Some stuff with her character reminded me too much of people I know, so tilt takes her down a notch to...

Design: Arni class B. You can get really crazy with El Nido designs. Think of Karsh or his Acacia companions. But Leena's Arni residency limited her options, making her appear to be an NPC.

Combat: Yeah, her final tech is cool, albeit a little hard to get if you aren't paying attention at the beginning of the game. I liked the presence of atomic elements in her weapon names.

Tilt: She captured my attention at the beginning, and I liked her spirit in Home World. Still, she plays second fiddle to Kid the entire time, and the Fortune Teller / rest of the world is painfully aware of it.

But eh, I like her. She barely, barely gets a...B.

Chrono Cross does it too, if you use it without the song.

Design: I find this 'type' of girl pretty... and I like the head... thing. But of course, they couldn't go overboard or she'd outlook Kid. And that's not allowed, considering Kid is her superior in all aspects.

Combat: Never used her. Hell, I never even got her.

Tilt: I really expected more character development. I guess she's just an example of what Serge left behind after meeting Kid and the rest of the party. She's a piece of the life that Serge no longer has (or at least until the game's ending), and that would've portrayed a lot more and been more emotional if they hadn't made Leena a playable character. Oh well.

He meant to just quote this, I believe...

Quote from: That Guy Who's Better Than You (Not WWE's MVP)
Her one saving grace is MaidenHeart, which is one of the only Techs that lets you recharge your Elements, which, if you're a complete dolt, is pretty damn useful.

Oh okay. my bad. For some reason I thought he was talking about the game, not the Chrono Cross itself.
Sorry.

Design: Ah, so cute. She really does look like a hybrid of Crono and Marle.

Combat: Really useful at the start, but got lost along the way.

Tilt: I think Leena on the whole is one big reminder of how CC crammed characters down our throats with minimum development, or what little they do include is thoroughly depressing. She was basically Serge's girlfriend before the whole mess started, and he leaves her for some skank he just met? What? And we're told that she won't find love after that? What? It's almost as if she was thrown in JUST to depress people. No point.
