BoFV: Dragon Quarter annoyed me because of the D-ratio thing (where if it reached 100%, it was game over) filling up so damn quickly, even when using D-Dash. I pretty much gave up on that game not far into the plot. Shame, really - I was enjoying the game's 'style' up until then.

DQVIII does indeed kick some serious ass. I've always loved the series. I just wish the New Game+ like feature were a little better...Basically it's just a sidequest that you can do, but only RIGHT BEFORE the final boss battle...*shrugs*. Otherwise it's a great game with an awesome amount of Character Development. They should remake all of the DQs to be this good...or at least VII! C'mon, those graphics were dated when it came out! V_V

Oh, and DQIX looks like it's going to be yet another killer app for the DS.

As for Star Ocean: Till The End of Time...meh...I'm a pretty big fan of the original. One of the best 16-Bit RPGs there are (and that's a mighty conquest). As for this PS2 RPG...I could seriously live without it. People say they love the battle system, and I suppose I have nothing against IT, but the AI is just SO stupid...I shouldn't have to try and train the AI not to be so idiotic...It's just another reminder why I hate action/adventure RPGs so bad...I want to be able to control the action, man! Don't take that away from me unless you know what you're doing! FFXII's system looks much better.

As for others...I guess I might suggest Front Mission IV (though there's a V I haven't played), which, if you're not familiar with the series, is a pretty good SRPG based around mechs & mech customization.
