Crono is a mute?

Is he a mute? I thought he was just a quiet protagonist. And if he is what about Serge?

They're "silent protagonists", which means they appear to speak and act like normal people to the other characters, but are a puppet to our whims in our eyes.

Not only that, Crono has speaking lines in one ending and Serge talks when [should I even bother with spoiler tags?]his body's inhabited by Lynx.[/spoiler]

Yeah, I just looked through both my SNES CT & PSX FFC: CT instruction manuals and neither says he's mute...or do you mean the guides??

Well there's your problem right there...listening to some random douche on Gamespot that pronounces it "kron-o" instead of "kro-no"...who does that that's worth listening to? Nobody, that's who. lol...anyways...wasn't Gamespot the one that gave Chrono Cross a perfect 10? Now, it's a good game, but it is far from without it's faults...
