What luck, we was giving a computer, and we really didn't know what to do with it, so i said, I'll use it as a web server! It will be a 24/7 web server, which I will maintain. The link will be the same as in the second post in this topic. The server could be on tonight.. if not tomorrow, as it is an older computer. As it's a dedicated server, it's won't have much running. Windows XP, AntiVir, and all webserver programs will be running. Windows Update will be running. The computer will go down for updates to windows and just restarting every so often, but don't worry about week down times. I do have a back up PSU if this one does go bad, though that one does have problems, but once it comes on it stays on.
Computer Specs for the Web server:
Intel Celeron 800MHz
40 GB hard drive
128mb of ram
CD Drive
CD Burner (computer companies did go over board on CD drives back then..)
12 mb Video Mem
Sound Card (which won't be in use at all!)
High Speed connection!
Ok, the last one we had to do, The system didn't come with a Ethernet Card at all, Luckly we had one stored back! This computer cost us 0 bucks and it runs like a charm!
