Relook Flame Theory on the Mammon Machine
« on: February 01, 2009, 08:58:57 pm »
I noticed that Zergplex recently thought of the Dream Theory on the Mammon Machine but I want to take another look at the Flame Theory, perhaps I'm not understanding the theory, but I'm not sure of it. What if we look at the Flame Theory a little differently. Now bare with me I wrote this during the commercials of the Super Bowl, so I kinda lose my train of thought from time to time.

I realized that the original translation says that Zeal threw the team into the Mammon Machine, but in the DS translation it says feed you to the Machine. Now I want to stop and talk about this line. In the original translation Zeal says, "Argh! My powers don't seem to work here! Wait! I'll simply toss you into the Mammon Machine!" In the DS translation she says, "Argh! My powers don't seem to work here! Ah, but I've a better idea! I can feed you to the Mammon Machine!" In the Compendium's Re-Translation she says, " I can't draw out my power here......  I've come up with a good idea.  I'll take and stick you vermin into the Demonic Vessel."So I'm assuming that the actual translation is feed, or at least it supports me a little better.

Another thing, you are over water before the blue aura appears. The Black Omen also appears over the coast in every era. Now what if Zeal throws the team out side of the Black Omen in an attempt to get the Mammon Machine even closer to Lavos. This way she could drain more power from him and perhaps increase the strength of the Machine. My theory is that the Frozen Flame is inside the Mammon Machine, and Zeal uses it to do several last tasks in this battle.

At 2:39 you see the shadow of the Machine over what appears to be waves.

1. Fix the Mammon Machine (magically of course) and give it battle capabilities
2. Get the Machine closer to Lavos so she can gain more power much faster
3. Create the Pocket Dimension or maybe this is some sort of temporal distortion like the one Robo points out when near Lavos
4. Finally destroy the team

Now some reasons I came up with this. It would explain how the Flame left the palace seeing as it would fall into the sea after the battle. Queen Zeal would now be extremely powerful, perhaps even a threat to Lavos, so Lavos would have a reason to appear in this time period, not because it knows of Zeal's strength but maybe it just senses an incredible amount of power and is scared it may be destroyed and appears to quickly remove anything that could destroy him. The Flame, being part of Lavos could, make it's own Distortion or PD instead of pulling one from Lavos. I guess I'm saying It's not a projection or a dream, but is just healed by Zeal. Now I'm sure I missed part of my theory somewhere or I there is a hole somewhere, but like I said I wrote this during the commercials of the Super Bowl.

Here is the current Frozen Flame theory on the Compendium.
