I'd rather see the worldwide (obviously they couldn't include the Europe sales since it only just came out for them this month) totals later on, but that's nice enough for now, I guess...

That's hard to compare since FFIV DS was FFIV's 4th or 5th (it was on Wonderswan too, wasn't it?) release, is part of a greatly more popular series, and was also a complete graphical remake, not just a port.

http://www.vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=13437&region=All Those are the sales for FFIV:DS, a solid 1.08 million, a statement corroborated by the link Dialga_Palkia posted. But according to vgchartz.com, CTDS sales were actually around .88 million, excluding Europe, I believe.

How about in comparison to the original SNES release or the PSX release?

Chrono Trigger's SNES sales were 2.31 million, I'll have to look around for the PSX sales figures, as that site doesn't have it.

I think we can officially kiss any possible chance of another CT sequel goodbye.

Which is sad because a port would've been better than that horrendous fucking abortion of a remake.

To quote the remade Cecil, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?

Maybe you missed it, but if you wanted a port there are like 4 other versions...And I didn't think anyone didn't like FFIVDS...I didn't get to play much of it, but thought it was great.

When I wrote that post I thought that a port would have been better, but I neglected the fact that there already was a port for Game Boy Advance. Nevertheless, I couldn't stand FFIVDS.
