Perhaps you can make Serge really weak in physical attack, but capable of using various tools, for example, bombs...
Yeah, Magil is just over-powerful, if you don't make it weaker, it is hard to balance the 3 characters. Maybe as a shadow walker, he can enter some area which the other 2 characters can't, so...

Hmm, that sounds good! He could be a versatile character, both short and long ranged, although at first I considered him sticking to RD tradition. And Kid likes it when he goes head-on bravely. :wink: Serge could have various tools, like darts, or limited bombs (but I was gonna do the Kage style "pick bombs and throw" for all characters actually), chains and almost anything he can find, but knife being his basic.

Hahaha, yeah! That's why he'd first appear playable only in the first boss fight! That's because the person Kid and Serge would be dealing with would be powerful, and only someone like Magil can beat him.  :D

Also, if we ever get a script on Flash instead of OpenBOR we might even have an RBO style level ups system (defeat a boss and level up, increase stats) and equipment menus.

The only problem I'm having currently is that I don't have the sufficient sprites for KoF style RD characters. If I don't get a spriter, I'll have to resume the project by using RBO Chibi modded sprites instead. ={

Yeah, KOF style will be better. To be honest, I don't really enjoy Chibo style characters.
I hope I'm a spriter, hehe.

xD Same here! Hope we can find one! Although Alcyone agreed to help out after AE or once the project begins.

But for some odd reason, despite chibi sprites, Ragnarok battle offline is pretty fun!

I require help and would be grateful.

Is anybody interested in making Serge, Kid and Magil sprites in KOF style? Or at the least, could someone make 3D models of Serge, Kid and Magil that I can rig in Blender and render them as sprites with Toon Shader?

Of course, too much detail is not important, thus "anime" like is A-Okay. But yeah, emphasis on expressions would be great.

I'll upload the concept art by tomorrow morning (which would be night time in the US).
