Cross-referencing of identities. His Dark Serge profile led to one Deviant Art account (justrob) directly, then his Bruggeman name led to Cyril Cyberpunk. A few of the others we included he's used as email addresses.

Wow, people REALLY hate that Buggerman guy (dumb name, I know, but he deserves it) pretty much everywhere for what he did.  He's reaping what he sowed but that's little consolation in light of all that he did.

Yea I am skeptical on whether that Dark Serge. His comment on Crono Cross was a red Flag, if anything Dark Serge was a huge CC fan.

It's possible that he wasn't saying "CHRONO CROSS SUCKS!" Maybe he just wanted to do a CT only thing so that he wouldn't have to worry about the links and confusion between the games.

He didn't have to say CC sucks to send out that red flag; this guy was a huge CC fan. Most of his contributions to the analysis forum revolved around CC, he griped when people would badmouth it. Hell, he got on my ass for saying that CC's sales didn't prove it was a good game.

Honestly though, I don't think he made the GameFAQs topic anyway...

I'm not sure then they would've ever even known about it til it was too late to do much to really bother if it weren't for this guy.

Surprises me that they didn't look into the matter more deeply before sending the letter.

Well, the hack already isn't allowed. With that in mind, even if they found the truth that the profit was bull they still can't just act like they came here and knew nothing about a hack but only profits. They happened to take the quick and cold hearted route is all. Can't be bothered to deal with every little thing, explore every hack or issue or problem (little did they realize that this is probably the biggest project and isn't just another little thing that doesn't need any bother checking it out)!
