VTranslanka - This is an ongoing compilation of best funny game images on the net - the idea is to get everyone to contribute and to compile a list of only the best pictures, as Ramsus suggested, to get rid of less funny ones as better ones appear. It is exclusive to funny images and has nothing to do with regular links, and thus makes no sense to mix it in with the other thread.

That's the part I have the most trouble with. Its just people spewing images and maybe posts of "OMG THAT'S FUNNY!", "I LIEK THAT ONE", etc. There's really no discussion to be had from this thread (not counting this discussion!). The only difference between this and the "Check This Link Out" thread is that you're using image tags around your links. idk how a thread that's in its 3rd incarnation ISN'T fail, but w/e...I also have a problem with the fact that it leads to a crapload of giant pics all over the thread. People SHOULD just be using hyperlinks...at least Attachments.

but this way people can just open up the thread when there's new replies and expect to see new images right on the same page!

part of the process of course is voting on which ones aren't actually that funny, which we can then proceed to weed out. So I'm hoping discussion will start around that aspect - like if two people agree that a pic isn't funny we get rid of it.

i'm hoping that in time we will have a genuinely funny set of images a click away for those of us that have bad days once in awhile and need some cheering up.

V, There's a difference between linking random, WTF stuff and starting an image thread with a clear topic. The link thread exists to cut down on people posting individual new threads about the same old Internet phenomenon they just now discovered for the first time. Remember when people would make new posts each time for some funny video or article they just found? Remember when that was every other thread? That's what the WTF link thread is for.

Also, if i concerns you that this thread is just a lot of big images, just add a high-bandwidth warning to the thread's title and nobody should have a problem with it.

Yeah, I sort of found this thread worthy of being left open.  It isn't meant for "random stuff" like the WTF thread - it has a clear objective of the content to be contained within.

Although I can see what some were saying about there being too many images per page of the forum that all have to load at once.

Still, I've seen plenty of similar threads on other boards... but I think we can make the best one!
