The Christian Revelations state somewhere in them that the end is 2012.

Now, I'd like to believe you, but being of that religion, I am going to have to disagree.  Not some sort of philosophical disagreement, but I'm almost certain it doesn't say 2012, or anything of the sort.  Actually, I'm pretty sure it says something about no man being able to know the day or the year or the season of the end of the world, or something like that.  I am not here to start a debate, so please don't take this comment that way!

But, back on topic, I really wouldn't mind having the world end... It would be... interesting.  I enjoy change, and it would be quite a change.

Not saying I want death to all, no indeed, that is not the same as the world ending... well, one encompasses the other, but mass murder of all beings human is far different from the end of the world...  One is murder, one is change.  ...I can't end this well, can I?

but being of that religion

Speaking of which, there are several Christian sects that try to pinpoint the date of their so-desired apocalypse. (Nevermind that Revelations is an allegory for Roman oppression.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehovah's_Witnesses

Quote
In the years leading up to 1914, 1925 and 1975, the Society's publications expressed strong expectations of Armageddon or the establishment of Christ's kingdom over the earth occurring in those years.[13][14][15] The Watch Tower Society now teaches that it is impossible to know precisely when Armageddon will occur, but that it is imminent.

Remaining Jehovah's Witnesses: a testament to the ignorance required to be religious. Only the dumbest of the dumb remain with a Doomsday cult after the Doomsday elapses without event.

You forgot about the more obvious Seventh Day Adventists, Z, who, rather than admit they were wrong, say that Jesus is among us, only invisible.

Hmm...

is there money to be made in the Doomsday business?

Because to me, 2012 is more a business than an actual happening.

Fear sells newspapers, books, documentaries, etc. The latest Indiana Jones movie only sold because of the 2012 hype (everyone knew it wouldn't be as good as old ones).
I do like watching some doomsday documentaries on discovery, they tend to have nice graphics. Besides, a lot of theories are so ridiculous that they're thoroughly entertaining. Just gotta know your fact from your fiction!

Lol in Chrono Trigger Apocalypse I should have done the december 21st 2012 thing for when the debris of time rained upon earth.

Lol that would have been an instant smash hit!

Anyway the only thing that will happen on december 21st 2012 is a time gate will open to the end of time for everyone here at the compendium to meet and greet. God where is your logic!?

Aliens!?  Aliens don't belong in an Indiana Jones movie!  What were they thinking when they wrote that script?  There aren't even any real Crystal Skulls in the world!  What a waste!

Ugh, they really raped the idea of Indy there. The special effects showed how terrible Lucas is getting... Either way the only crystal skulls are artificially made... More ridiculous-ness.

Why can't people just have more logic and add a bit more flavor to their daily ritual.  :kz
