I got a book on the Inklings from my wife, which I am totally stoked about. She has a way of finding gifts that I wouldn't have even thought about wanting myself. In comparison, I suck, as I got her the first season of Legends of the Seeker (one of her favorite TV shows). It was the obvious gift (though still one she hadn't thought of herself, so I am mildly pleased).
I got my eldest brother a copy of the first season of Venture Bros. It is exactly the sort of thing he finds terribly amusing. My other brother received a copy of Dune (and something else, that I do not remember) from us. And my parents were given a lovely dinner at Ruth's Chris on the 22nd (as well as a copy of Up, as revenge. Their gift to us was flying out to spend Christmas with us, but they got us other stuff as well). And for my grandma, a promise that I'd call her more often (at least once a month, but more as my courage can manage).
I am sad that we didn't have time to get stockings for the pets, as watching a dog run around with one stuck to her head is a time-honored Christmas tradition, but alas.
And seeing as we are JaWHOva's Witnesses, we celebrated in proper Who fashion with our feasting on who-pudding and roast beast. We tried out Buttermilk Pie this year and were not disappointed. I highly recommend it.
