I should think that it was indeed a typo. Whoever replied to the letter, I'm certain, would not be high enough on the ladder to know if such a game were in production, especially not one that would be kept so secret as a Chrono game.
Honestly, though, I looked at the forums, and I can see perfectly why you used the term 'sad people.' Good lord, the person who sent the email was fortunate they even replied! There was almost no punctuation, and the grammar was atrocious. You and I spell better in a mere forum post, and even my little 12 year-old sister can write much better than that.
And when someone thought it good to mention this to him, the guy went on a long tirade and ad hominem argument about how the one who isn't trying to revive this thing should 'get a life' - of all the irony! He claims he's 23, but he acts less mature than my littlest sister. And worst of all: he says he was in the army, and is studying in college to become a teacher! People, the world has taken a serious turn I think if this is the future shape of education.
But anyway, this bloody fanboyism and failure to see reality is truly giving Chrono Fans a bad name. I think the Compendium is the best Chrono thing that will be around for a long time to come.
