Draggy, dragons, dragonians...
« on: April 07, 2011, 10:06:21 pm »
What kind of dragon is Draggy?

When I first played the game I thought Draggy was from the same kind of artificially created dragons as the dragon gods, since apparently the Dragonians were incubating creatures of the same kind as Draggy in the basement of Fort Dragonia. I even thought the Final Dragon God was going to recognize him if i had him in my party, but I was wrong of course  :? And I think the plot suggests that the Dragonians created only one of that kind of creature, so I guess Draggy is not that kind of dragon...

So, is he from a species natural to el Nido like the dragon-horse things of the Acacia Dragoons? a natural species from the Reptite dimension? a prehistoric species from Gaia's Navel?

I remember that Draggy's mom was the Fossil in Fossil Valley, but I don't quite get where they came from in the first place.

:P So is Draggy the next Dragon God of El Nido or just a random cute baby dragon with no place to go?

I'd say he's a random cute baby dragon with no place to go, but he could have been a natural species to El Nido. I don't know if there were dragons in CT, but there was plenty of dragon lore.

Hmm, I guess Draggy to Dragonian is like Demi-human to Human.

Besides, Draggy seems to have wings like a bee (also his patterns), but if you check the remains of his mother, the skeleton looks like a generic dragon. So maybe, his race transform like insects (worm -- cocoon -- insect).

And that was another reason that made me think that Draggy was somehow related to the dragon Gods at first, they all had very varied and strange designs, being artificial creatures they are sort of biological mash ups.

I can only think of the one in Guardia's flag, but that one could be a dactyl too.

Um, It was this picture that made me relate Fossil Valley with Gaea's Navel, but looking at it again, the skeleton look nothing like the one in Fossil Valley...

I don't know much about Draggy, except that he's the cutest out of all the playable cast in CC. But when he grows up--watch out! =D

I still think Guardia's flag is a phoenix rather than a dragon.

I think I wasn't around for that discussion, care to share that thread?

Guardia's flag is probably a Dactyl, but there's also the Dragon Tank and all the dragon decorations at Magus's castle.

I guess either if his species is extinct or not, draggy's probably from natural species of el Nido, maybe distant cousins of komodos who seem to be colorful dragon-like creatures too  :P
